When we developed our SaaS (Software as a Service) offering - Nextway.cloud - we chose Microsoft Azure as our infrastructure platform.  Azure allows us to expand our offerings all over the world as the needs arise.  Germany When we launched, we did so with Microsoft Azure in Frankfurt, Germany, as our primary data center and Berlin as the backup data center.  Doing so allowed us to guarantee data residency within the EU and align well with the Financial and Insurance sector in Europe. Everyone would agree that Germany was a safe choice when it comes to GDPR.  We already then knew that, over time, we would want to offer alternative data centers for selected customers with specific needs. That time has come now.  EU In addition to our German setup (Frankfurt/Berlin), we now offer an EU setup out of the Netherlands and Dublin, Ireland.  These new  Microsoft Azure regions  (West Europe and North Europe) give us access to crucial new storage technologies ahead of the original German regions, which are scheduled to get these new technologies later.   From a customer perspective, our offering is still the same. Performance, security, and reliability are all the same, even if we, under the hood, implement new technologies to cater to even larger datasets and cheaper long-term storage. Switzerland In early 2025, we expect to take the next step by offering a purely Swiss setup.  The Swiss setup will have Zurich as a primary data center and Geneva as the backup. Azure costs in the Swiss regions are slightly higher, and you should expect this to be reflected in our pricing. This also means that unless you are obliged by industry-specific legislation to secure Swiss data residency, we suggest you choose our EU option.  The world is the limit Our setup for Nextway.cloud allows us to automatically deploy our Next ®  Digital Workplace software to any Azure data center in the world. Time will show, when and where the next need arises.    For the techie ones Nextway.cloud is a multi-tenant SaaS solution with complete data segregation.
